Job summary

The Brearley School seeks an experienced HR Operations and Payroll Manager to provide dependable operational support across payroll, benefits and core HR services. Payroll is the role’s primary execution responsibility, owning semi-monthly payroll processing in Dayforce for ~80 hourly and 200 salaried employees.

You will also serve as the benefits administration expert and coordinate defined HR processes in partnership with the Chief Human Resources Officer, ensuring accurate Dayforce records

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience in payroll, benefits administration and HR operations.
• At least three years of Dayforce experience processing hourly and salaried employees.
• Experience with benefits administration including open enrollment, carrier billing and contribution reconciliation.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Bachelor’s degree and HR or payroll certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and process the semi-monthly payroll cycle in Dayforce for ~80 hourly and 200 salaried employees.
• Maintain payroll checklists, validate earnings and employee changes, and ensure proper approvals.
• Administer employee benefits plans and coordinate annual open enrollment and reconciliations.
• Coordinate onboarding/offboarding, records maintenance, and HR service requests.
• Prepare reports for audits and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
