Job summary

BBSI is seeking an HR Generalist (Payroll & Benefits) to ensure accurate, on-time payroll and comprehensive benefits administration. The role emphasizes strict regulatory compliance and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The incumbent will manage payroll processing across frequencies, support benefits enrollment, and collaborate with the accounting team on reconciliations. Strong organizational skills and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• High school diploma required.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of HR and/or payroll related experience.
• Prior experience in payroll processing including strong knowledge of wage and hour laws in surrounding states.
• Additional operations or business experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to write, develop and deliver documents and electronic communication to individuals and groups at all levels of an organization.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Administration (Approximately 70%).
• Process weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payrolls accurately and on schedule.
• Review and audit employee earnings, deductions, taxes, and reimbursements.
• Coordinate payroll tax reporting and year-end activities, including W-2 processing.
• Respond promptly to client payroll questions and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist client's accounting/bookkeeping with payroll reconciliations and reporting.
