HIRING RANGE : $23.84-$25.95 per hour based on experience.
Pay Grade: CG
Provide technical payroll and benefits transaction functions.
Review, verify, and process payroll data related to credit and non-credit adjunct faculty compensation, including substitute pay, additional pay, and adjunct orientation and training pay. Review and process onboarding documentation for employees. Verify timesheets for accuracy and completeness as needed. Help maintain the Payroll Department email inbox to ensure timely responses and appropriate follow-up. Serve as a backup to Payroll Specialist 1 as needed.
Assist the Benefits team by processing all mandatory and voluntary insurance deductions for employees including running monthly reports and updating associated spreadsheets. File all related documents for employee benefits in confidential medical files. Collect, review and process all wellness reimbursements including updating spreadsheet for tracking purposes. Prep and scan confidential medical files into Banner as well as scanning monthly financials. Maintain filing system for college-wide vaccine declinations. Assist with leave balance tracking and fiscal year end corrections. Assist with benefits projects on an ad hoc basis.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent. Three years of general office experience which includes record keeping, data entry, and word processing. (Postsecondary education in any field may substitute for up to one year of the required experience. 15 semester hours are equivalent to 6 months of experience.) Strong communication skills. Ability to plan, organize and manage time. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from varied backgrounds. Proficient in current software applications, such as Excel and Word.
Experience in a Human Resources office. Experience working with payroll or benefits system. Experience working in an educational setting.
