The Reserves Network in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Administrator to own payroll for 250+ employees in a hands-on HR team. This direct-hire role offers a collaborative culture with strong employee ownership benefits and a casual environment.

You will manage multiple payroll cycles, support benefits, and assist with HR initiatives while maintaining confidential records and providing excellent employee service.

Qualifications

• Experience with multiple payroll cycles
• Strong knowledge of modern HRIS/payroll systems
• UKG experience is a strong plus, but not required
• Experience supporting hourly or high-volume employee populations
• Manufacturing, construction, or industrial workforce experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication with employees at all levels

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for 250+ employees across multiple cycles (weekly/hourly and semi-monthly salaried)
• Process bonuses and other ad hoc payroll items
• Support benefits processing and respond to employee questions
• Maintain employee files and assist with HR administrative needs
• Assist with recruiting and community engagement initiatives as needed
• Support HRIS data entry and system implementation activities
• Serve as a backup for other HR administrative functions
• Provide responsive support to employees across departments
• Occasionally travel to other local locations
