The MSPCA-Angell in Boston seeks a Payroll Associate to join our payroll team. This is a full-time salaried position averaging 32 hours per week, with general hours Monday-Wednesday and Friday in a hybrid work setting.
You will process payroll for 600+ staff, support 250+ exempt staff, review pay-rate changes with HR, handle shift differentials and monthly visa card processing, and prepare IRS filings with the Payroll Manager. Strong accuracy and communication are essential.

The Position:
The Payroll Associate will work closely with the Payroll Manager to process the 850+ payroll for the MSPCA-Angell. Will develop relationships with the HR team to assist in reviewing and administering regular payroll changes and staffing updates. The MSPCA-Angell operates two 24/7 animal hospitals (as well as 5 shelters and 4 clinics). Experience with shift differentials, a 24/7 environment and multi-state employees is a plus. This person will also work the Payroll Manager to review and process the corporate credit cards statements on a monthly basis. Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to problem solve are needed for this role.

This is a salaried position starting at $50-60k a year. Adjusted for a 32hr/week schedule.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: 2+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a large organization (500+ employees). Experience with a 24/7 environment or shift differentials, and hospital setting is a plus. Experience with UKG or other payroll/timekeeping software is ideal.
