Job summary

Management Staff Consultants in Scotland is seeking an experienced Payroll Assistant for a payroll bureau in south Fife. You will handle payroll processing, auto enrolment pension requirements, and ensure Sage Payroll compliance.

You will process BACS payments, respond to payroll queries by phone and email, and keep client payroll manuals up to date while maintaining GDPR standards. There are opportunities to expand into accounts if desired, with Year End tasks, P60s and related payments

Qualifications

• Gained payroll experience covering payroll processing and compliance procedures including auto enrolment pension.
• Experience with Sage Payroll software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare clients' BACS payments for EEs, 3rd Party and HMRC payments.
• Manage payroll queries via telephone and email, providing excellent service for clients and their EEs.
• Update client payroll manuals as required.
• Diligent and compliant with record keeping and GDPR.
• Process Year End and uploading P60s to EEs' accounts, process new starts & leavers, issue P45s, process SMP, SSP, SPP and ensure PAE.
• Complete Payroll year end and issue P60s, monitor employees’ holidays, sickness and time keeping.
• Reconcile bank accounts, post receipts and allocate to customer accounts.
• There is an opportunity to gain further experience in accounts as well, if you wish to do so, but only if you want.
