Job summary

Eco Material Technologies is seeking a Payroll Analyst to support accurate and timely payroll processing in collaboration with the Payroll Manager. The role emphasizes payroll tax, audit, reconciliation, and compliance while assisting employees and managers with payroll inquiries.

The position focuses on accurate data handling, system administration, and cross-functional coordination with HR, Accounting, Legal, and Finance. On-site in South Jordan, UT, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of payroll processing practices, payroll taxes, W-2 preparation and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of internal controls, audit procedures, and payroll compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, reconciliation, auditing, and troubleshooting skills.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data validation.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet strict payroll deadlines.
• Associates or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Import payroll data from timekeeping system into the payroll system.
• Scan garnishments to ADP or UKG.
• Review payroll batches for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure correct calculation of net pay, deductions and withholdings.
• Oversee paycheck distribution and direct deposit processing.
• Ensure compliance with laws and internal policies.
• Prepare periodic payroll reports and tax submissions.
• Assist with audits and tax-related issues; gather documentation.
• Maintain payroll records and update withholding and tax accounts as needed.
• Back up Payroll Manager when out of the office.
