Progress Rail is seeking a Payroll Analyst to provide administrative support across the US for payroll tasks, confidential wage data, and direct deposit changes. This role supports multiple facilities and requires handling sensitive information with integrity.

The position requires a High School Diploma (Associate or Bachelor's preferred) and strong Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft skills. Located in Albertville, AL with potential for growth within the Payroll department.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll laws while maintaining confidentiality.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent math and analytical skills.
• Detail oriented with urgency and follow-through; strong customer skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a team environment.
• Experience in PeopleSoft is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll files, records and documentation.
• Assist with payroll processing, garnishment processing, child support and tax levies, payroll checks, and direct deposit data.
• Provide clerical support to the Payroll department.
• Answer frequently asked questions from facilities and/or employees relative to standard payroll policies, refer complex questions to senior staff.
• Process time records and payroll data for multiple facilities and provide support to field locations.
• Adhere to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and ensure compliance.
