Job summary

DrinkPAK is seeking a payroll professional to process bi-weekly payroll for about 450 employees at our Santa Clarita, CA facility. You will review timecards, ensure tax compliance, and generate payroll reports for management.

You’ll work on a full-time, salaried basis in an open workspace, coordinating with HR and Accounting to maintain accurate payroll and reporting while staying current on wage and hour regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in California payroll processing or accounting roles.
• At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in Workday Payroll, Time Tracking & Absence required.
• FPP designation preferred but not required.
• Bilingual English & Spanish preferred.
• Comfortable working in an open workspace/bullpen.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 450 employees in Southern California.
• Review timecards daily for missing punches, notes, tardies, and shifts to ensure timely payroll processing.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and reporting.
• Prepare and analyze payroll reports and present findings to Payroll Manager.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries professionally.
• Maintain payroll records and prepare reports on payroll activities for management.
• Initiate off-cycle payments as needed.
• Collaborate with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting.
• Monitor changes in wage/hour, garnishments, 401(k), etc., staying current on regulations.
• Ensure timecards are approved by deadline and data entry is accurate.
• Process and monitor garnishment orders.
• Perform ad hoc assignments and special projects.
