Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll for assigned employee groups accurately and timely.
• Review inputs, audits, and reports to resolve discrepancies before payroll completion.

• Investigate and resolve payroll issues raised by employees, managers, or providers.
• Handle payroll-related transactions like hires, terminations, leaves, and compensation changes.
• Ensure compliance with payroll laws, policies, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Finance, and others to support payroll operations.
• Assist with reconciliations, audits, reporting, and quarter/year-end activities.
• Support process improvement and maintain documentation.

What You’ll Do

• Process biweekly payroll for assigned employee groups, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
• Review and validate payroll inputs, audits, and exception reports to identify and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll completion.
• Configure and maintain employee payroll system data, including time and attendance settings, direct deposit/banking information, tax withholding elections, and earnings and deduction setup.
• Research, investigate, and resolve payroll issues, inquiries, and discrepancies raised by employees, managers, HR, or third-party providers.
• Process payroll-related transactions such as new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, compensation changes, and other employee lifecycle events.
• Ensure compliance with applicable payroll legislation, tax requirements, company policies, and internal controls.
• Partner with HR, Benefits, Finance, and other stakeholders to support payroll operations and maintain data accuracy.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations, audits, reporting, quarter-end and year-end activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process documentation and knowledge-sharing activities.

The Skills you will bring to the team

• Postsecondary education in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in payroll administration, payroll processing, or a related operational role.
• Knowledge of payroll processes, time and attendance systems, and payroll legislation.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working with payroll and HRIS systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

This range may not be applicable to other locations and targeted compensation is midpoint of range.
