Job summary

Hooper, a respected electric power and mechanical contractor, seeks an administrative professional to support payroll processing, accounts payable, data handling, and reporting. The role involves entering payroll data in the COINS system, coding expenses, and assisting with filing and documentation in a standard office environment.

The ideal candidate will have a two- or four-year degree in accounting/finance, strong Microsoft Office skills, proofreading ability, and a proven attention to detail

Qualifications

• Two or four year degree in accounting/finance preferred.
• Computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) and other applicable software programs.
• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to change.
• General knowledge of office protocol, routines, and procedures.
• Ability to proof-read documents and accurately prepare various reports.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Enters payroll data into COINS system each week for assigned group(s). Verifies data entry by reviewing, correcting, changing, or deleting entered information via reconciliation of source documents to various prescribed system reports.
• Supports department with basic filing, electronic storage, and organization.
• Processing and coding of accounts payable and/or credit cards as needed.
• Processes daily cash receipts, resolving open items using standard procedures.
• Responsible for recording journal entries.
• Performs other duties/special projects as assigned.
