Qualifications

• Payroll and Accounts Payable experience preferred.
• Valid Colorado Driver’s license or ability to obtain within 6 months; safe driving record.
• Must possess FEMA IS100 and IS700a within six months of employment (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Process payroll on a modern payroll system.
• Process invoices and other claims for payment with proper approvals and documentation.
• Payroll system subject matter expert: troubleshoot issues and customize for departments.
• Maintain payroll policies and guides; improve payroll platform.
• Coordinate with HR to avoid gaps in payroll processes.
• Provide backup to staff accountant with reports or journal entries.
• Train county employees on payroll and timekeeping matters.
