Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) is seeking an Accounting Operations Associate to support the Finance Team with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll tasks in a nonprofit/government environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to established policies, with opportunities to learn and grow within Central Ohio’s regional planning community.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 1–2 years experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, or general accounting.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll by reviewing timesheets and updating records.
• Assist with payroll data entry in various software.
• Train new hires on payroll processes.
• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Maintain vendor accounts and reconcile transactions.
• Prepare and issue customer and grant-related invoices; apply payments.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue balances.
• Reconcile AR activity with the general ledger; maintain audit docs.
• Generate AR reports for management.
• Other duties as assigned.
