Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking a Financial Analyst – Payroll to support payroll, tax, and accounting activities and to manage cash-related transactions. You will help prepare monthly accounting functions and oversee bank reconciliations in line with GPC standards.

The role involves handling payroll journals, journal entries for banking, and cross-training with team members while ensuring accurate reporting and strong customer service to internal partners.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of accounting and/or bookkeeping experience.
• Knowledge of tax and accounting processes.
• Working knowledge of Workday, PeopleSoft, and Excel (mid to expert).
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare manual checks and reconcile bank deposits; reconcile ACH debits/credits.
• Prepare insurance, vendor bills, retiree and Cobra statements, manual bills and postings.
• Prepare journal entries for banking transactions and month-end closes.
• Respond to field/customer/vendor inquiries with timely, high-quality service.
• Support payroll-related tasks including ADP payroll journals and cross-training.
