• Advise on benefits (selection handled by others).
• Prepare payroll journal entries and general ledger.
• Reconcile payroll-related GL accounts.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.

I am looking to hire a full-time Payroll and Benefit Accountant for a reputable educational institution here in Racine, WI (53403). This role will be permanent with benefits and is looking to interview/start immediately.

Pay: $75,000 - $80,000 (based on experience) & Great Benefits

Schedule: 1st shift, M-F

Remote: No, 100% onsite

Job Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll for employees, administrators, teachers, support staff, coaches, and temporary employees
• Process new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, etc.
• Advisor of benefits (never have to choose them those are done for you)
• Prepare payroll journal entries and general ledger
• Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close
• Strong attention to team player
• Use ADP Workforce (not a requirement) just want to be adaptable
