Job summary

JPMorganChase's Commercial & Investment Bank in Tampa seeks a Lead Software Engineer to guide an agile team in building trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable way.

As a core technical contributor, you will drive AI-assisted engineering practices, manage cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure deliverables meet risk, security, and quality standards while advancing DevOps and release processes.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Experience managing software projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.
• Demonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.

Responsibilities

• Manage Scrum team, engineer's backlog, ensuring JIRA hygiene, Say/Do ratios, Agile maturity.
• Partner with business analysts, product and operations to ensure that scope is clear and well documented.
• Work with technology and business teams to produce, update and deliver on a comprehensive project schedule.
• Maintain and monitor list of key project-level dependencies and track through to completion.
• Facilitate key project level meetings and drive governance-compliant decision making.
• Ensure project risk/issue standards and maintain risk/issue log with remediation through to closure.
• Manage stakeholder communications and maintain a project stakeholder and communications plan.
• Drives adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, speed, and operations, with secure validation standards.
