Job summary

Verifone is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to guide customers through end-to-end integration of payment solutions, spanning device and non-device channels.

You will contribute to code testing, sample solution development, and proactive troubleshooting while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role requires hands-on programming in Java/Kotlin, REST API work, and Android skills.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on Java and/or Kotlin programming experience.
• Experience in a customer‑facing technical role, such as integration engineering or solutions engineering.
• Ability to work in a self‑learning environment and take ownership of problems.
• Hands‑on experience with REST API programming.
• Android device and Android Studio experience.
• Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Git, and Postman.
• Knowledge of Swift, .NET, or Python is a plus.
• Demonstrated competence using AI models — Claude valued for coding tasks and documentation.
• Strong written communication skills for documenting issues, resolutions, and status.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites ~10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers through implementation and integration of Verifone payment solutions, device and non-device.
• Validate processes, troubleshoot issues, raise tickets as needed.
• Manage customer expectations and communicate throughout the integration lifecycle.
• Travel to customer sites ~10–15% to support integrations and training.
• Test and evaluate new sample code and solutions; provide feedback.
• Write and review code in Java and/or Kotlin for integrations.
• Use REST API programming to build and validate integrations; Android development where relevant.
• Leverage Claude AI for coding tasks, documentation, and workflow improvements.
• Project manage smaller engagements and provide weekly status updates.
• Document issues, resolutions, and integration guidance in Jira/Confluence.
