Job summary

Confluence Health in Washington state is seeking a Payment and Refund Analyst to streamline payments and refunds workflows and to coordinate with vendors on system enhancements. You will help monitor KPIs and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting ongoing process improvements across the Revenue Integrity function.

The role reports to the Director of Revenue Integrity and requires strong EPIC experience, four years in revenue cycle activities, and the ability to work collaboratively in a

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum four years in Revenue Cycle hospital/professional billing and/or payments and refunds processing.
• Industry certification such as CPC, CPB, CRC.
• Proficient in basic computer skills and Microsoft Office.
• Maintain a positive, resourceful attitude toward achieving department goals.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
• Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
• Ability to collaborate with others as part of a team.
• EPIC billing and/or coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate and recommend workflow processes for payments posting and refund tasks.
• Partner with EPIC Analysts to optimize workflows and automate rules where applicable.
• Liaise with third party vendors for training and system improvements.
• Assist with dashboards/reporting tools to monitor productivity metrics.
• Support new technologies to streamline adoption and ongoing education.
• Provide analysis and progress updates to Revenue Cycle Leadership.
• Monitor KPIs and address issues with leadership to improve performance.
• Maintain knowledge of industry compliance to ensure timely refunds and accurate posting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
