Austin Regional Clinic is seeking a diligent Payment Posting Clerk to accurately post payments and adjustments to patient accounts while maintaining compliance with organizational policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and preferred experience in medical billing. Candidates should be proficient with Windows, have strong communication skills, and be able to manage multiple priorities in a professional setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: 1+ year of medical billing experience in a practice setting.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-9 and HCPCS coding preferred.
• Excellent computer and keyboarding skills; proficient in Windows.

Responsibilities

• Reviews carrier explanations of benefits to determine accurate patient responsibility.
• Posts payments and adjustments to patient accounts in batches.
• Performs ERA downloads and posts payments from e-remit reports.
• Ensures timely and accurate posting to meet monthly deadlines.
• Follows HIPAA, OSHA and company policies and maintains confidentiality.
