Job summary

Citi NAM is seeking a Payment Investigations Manager (VP) to lead a high-performance team resolving complex payment inquiries, rebates, and refunds for large corporate clients. You will champion risk and control, drive proactive resolution, and mentor staff while partnering with Technology, Product, and Compliance to improve SLAs, data privacy, and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in financial services operations, with at least 5 years in people management within Payment Operations, Cash Management, or Treasury Investigations.
• Experience managing relationships and escalations with large corporate, institutional, and government clients.
• Deep understanding of operational risk frameworks, MCA processes, and regulatory compliance (AML, OFAC) in a global banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire one or more teams of operations professionals in a diverse, inclusive, high-engagement environment.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members with clear career pathways and succession plans.
• Manage performance against KPIs and KRIs, aligning goals with Citi’s objectives and leadership standards.
• Own resource planning and budget management to optimize efficiency and targets.
• Drive proactive client advocacy and rapid resolution of complex payment inquiries.
