Job summary

Monzo in the UK is seeking a Data Director for Payments to shape data-driven strategy and product decisions across payments, supporting seamless cross-border experiences and scalable infrastructure.

You will partner with Product, Engineering and Design to drive data-enabled growth, maintain high-quality data foundations, and empower teams with self-serve analytics while solving complex business problems.

Qualifications

• Experience leading data-driven organizations.
• Strong ability to translate between technical, product and commercial perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Establish yourself as a trusted member of the Payments Leadership team and enable better decisions.
• Co-drive Payments strategy and product decisions with Product and Engineering, bringing Data into discovery early.
• Identify untapped opportunities for commercial optimisation, including pricing, monetisation, and customer growth.
• Set the data strategy for Payments, including operating model, priorities, architecture and key metrics.
• Translate between technical, product and commercial perspectives to drive high-impact decisions.
• Develop and scale a high-performing team of data professionals.
