Google LLC in Chicago, IL seeks an experienced Share Associate Commercial Counsel, Payments to serve as a key advisor on a wide range of commercial matters related to Google’s payment products and services.

You will draft, negotiate, and review complex commercial agreements, advise product and engineering teams on legal risks, and help scale Google’s payments offerings globally. In-house experience and privacy/fintech familiarity are valued.

Qualifikationen

• Admitted to the bar and in good standing in the state where the position is located.
• 3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
• Experience in commercial transactions, privacy negotiations, or fintech.

Aufgaben

• Discuss, draft, and review a wide variety of commercial agreements related to Google's payment products and services with partners and service providers.
• Provide practical and legal advice to product, engineering, and business teams on legal risks and compliance obligations in payments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure legal considerations are integrated into product development and business strategy.
• Stay up-to-date on laws, regulations, and industry trends in the payments space.
• Develop and maintain standard form agreements, templates, and internal policies; assist with disputes and external counsel as needed; contribute to training.
