Job summary

Brigit is a holistic financial health company seeking an experienced payments analytics professional to optimize transaction costs and success rates across ACH and card rails. You’ll work at the intersection of our payments platform, membership, and credit teams within the Data & Analytics group, focusing on data-driven improvements and cost efficiency.

The role requires 7+ years in fintech payments, advanced SQL, and solid knowledge of payment processing mechanics.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in payments analytics, payment operations, or similar fintech role.
• Advanced SQL with complex queries and data models.
• Strong knowledge of ACH, card networks, and payment processing mechanics.
• Experience partnering with Data Science teams to translate model outputs into business decisions.
• Sharp investigative instincts for spotting anomalies and driving resolution.

Responsibilities

• Analyze tradeoffs between transaction costs and success rates across ACH and card rails and recommend improvements.
• Investigate payment failure patterns by institution, response code, and payment method; validate hypotheses with data.
• Evaluate payment routing and collection strategies and quantify impact of new configurations or vendor capabilities.
• Assess retry logic for cost and member experience; propose smarter approaches.
• Build and refine alerting to detect payment anomalies quickly, such as unusual return rate spikes or processing failures.
• Collaborate with Data Science to support deployment and evaluation of predictive models for collection timing and payment decisions.
• Build monitoring dashboards to track model performance post-launch and surface when adjustments are needed.
• Translate model outputs into business insights for stakeholders across product, finance, and leadership.
