Job summary

SumUp is seeking a diligent Payments Operations professional to help move money for thousands of small businesses. You will process daily transactions, reconcile across bank accounts, and handle recall requests with bank partners, while maintaining strict SLAs.

You’ll work with a close-knit team, gain exposure to EMI license payments, and grow with a global scale-up that values ownership and ongoing learning.

EU Payment Operations keeps the money moving for millions of small businesses, handling the daily transactions, reconciliations and bank recalls that sit right at the heart of SumUp's e‑money business. This role joins a close‑knit team of specialists, working across banking portals, internal back‑office systems and SAP Fiori to keep payment flows accurate, compliant and on time. It's a chance to build a genuinely deep understanding of how a regulated e‑money product works end to end, learning directly from experienced specialists while taking on real ownership from day one.

What you'll do:

• Process daily payment transactions accurately and within strict cut-off times.
• Reconcile transactions across bank accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage recall requests and correspond with banking partners by email.
• Handle rejected and manual payments through internal back‑office tools.
• Respond to customer support queries in Salesforce within agreed SLAs.
• Build working knowledge of the accounts and payment flows tied to our EMI licence.

You’ll be great for this role if:
