Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Manager, Contract Development Payer Contract Writer to draft and process payer contracts, support contract data in the CLM system, and manage the lifecycle for national payer accounts. You will work closely with the Payer Contract Relations team to draft rebates, amendments, and notices, ensuring accurate reflection of terms.

This role resides within US Value & Access and reports to the Senior Manager, Contract Development.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree OR
• Masters degree with 2 years of contract development or contract writing experience OR
• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of contract development or contract writing experience OR
• Associates degree with 8 years of contract development or contract writing experience OR
• High school diploma / GED with 10 years of contract development or contract writing experience

Responsibilities

• Manage contracting strategy and execution for national payer accounts.
• Own the contract document lifecycle across multiple workstreams, including version control and status updates.
• Draft term sheets, RFP responses, amendments, and related contract language reflecting pricing strategy, rebates, and discounts.
• Coordinate inputs and timelines across stakeholders to move contracts forward.
• Compile contract documentation to support audits and litigation and ensure traceability.
• Partner with CLM system team to drive process and system improvements.
