Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 3 years hospital and/or medical office billing and/or collection experience.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure billing and collections are completed accurately and timely.
• Follow up on underpayments and denials to secure payment.
• Document steps and maintain patient accounting information.
• Rebill insurance claims by paper and electronic processes.
• Audit accounts for missed payments and adjust as needed.
• Prepare appeals letters for denied or underpaid claims.
