Job summary

Abacus Insights in Boston seeks a Payer Analytics Consultant to serve as the dedicated data and analytics partner for health plan teams, turning client questions into data models, dashboards, and analyses that inform payment integrity and provider performance decisions.

You will travel onsite to client locations, present findings to stakeholders, and help scale analytics workflows inside Snowflake, Databricks, and BI tools, combining payer domain knowledge with hands-on data work to deliver

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of hands-on healthcare data analytics experience in payers, TPAs, vendors, or consulting.
• Strong SQL and BI dashboard development track record with production-grade outputs.
• Experience analyzing medical/pharmacy claims, provider performance, or payment integrity data.
• Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate client questions into data models, reports, and analyses that guide recommendations.
• Travel onsite to client locations, gathering requirements and presenting findings.
• Design and manage queries and data pipelines in client Snowflake or Databricks environments.
• Perform deep-dive analyses and package findings into clear, presentation-ready outputs.
• Leverage AI and automation to accelerate analysis and reporting workflows.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and technical rigor across deliverables.
