Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Pay Station Clerk to support the dining and checkout experience in a fast-paced retail environment. You will greet customers, operate the register, and help maintain a clean, well-stocked area for a smooth shopping visit.

You will handle payments, process transactions, and assist guests with their orders while collaborating with team members to deliver excellent service. Training is provided to ensure accuracy and friendliness.

Qualifications

• No formal education or previous experience required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a friendly smile and provide prompt service.
• Operate the cash register and process payments (cash, checks, card, discounts).
• Count back change and issue receipts; bag items for customers.
• Maintain stocked supplies and coffee area, assist with bussing tables as needed.
• Answer phones and assist customers who call, work as a team to ensure satisfaction.

You will have frequent exposure to temperature extremes and dampness, with possible equipment movement hazards and exposure to cleaning chemicals or solvents.
