Millstone Weber, LLC is seeking a Stringless Paving Technician to join our concrete paving crew in Missouri. You will set up robotic total stations and control grade for pavers, while assisting survey technicians on multiple heavy civil projects.

The role requires quick learning of Leica systems and strong problem-solving on site. Work involves night and weekend shifts as needed, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Check pavement grade behind the paver for quality.

Job Summary

A Stringless Paving Technician works with a concrete paving crew and uses robotic total stations to control grade and alignment of the pavers. The position requires the ability to setup robotic total stations and understand the Leica Icon system. When not paving, the position will involve assisting the Survey Technicians with construction survey staking using robotic total stations or GPS rovers on multiple heavy civil construction projects.

Duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for setting up and running the Leica Icon system
• Responsible for running trimmer with Leica
• Run the Trimble DiNi, Trimble GPS, Trimble Total Station
• Responsible for setting up Leica Total Stations and move ahead for paver or trimmer.
• Responsible for checking pavement grade behind the paver to ensure quality control.
• Leica experience preferred but not required

Qualifications

• Ability to adapt to a fluid, fast-paced paving schedule.
• Available to work some nights and weekends when required.
• Ability to quickly learn to use Leica equipment and software through on-the-job training.
• Ability to work independently and resolve everyday problems, keeping all appropriate parties aware of issues and/or risks.
• Have a strong work ethic.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including the use of the Microsoft Office
• Understand and enforce the company's safety policies
• Ability to read roadway and other construction plans.

Other Functions

• Safety support and planning work with Health and Safety Personnel.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must have the ability to pull and back up trailers
• Perform other duties as assigned

Working conditions

Outside environment, exposure to all weather conditions and temperatures. Site specific exposure to hazardous materials requiring proper use of Personal Protective Equipment. Noise levels are site specific and may be subject to PPE.
