Job summary

Ross Landscape & Paving Services Inc is seeking a Paving Laborer to assist in installing asphalt and concrete surfaces within our paving division. Projects range from driveway replacements to roadways and parking lots, with focus on safety and quality.

You will follow plan specifications and work outdoors in varying conditions. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, preparing subbase, distributing and raking asphalt, smoothing surfaces, and meeting daily schedules.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in paving or related labor.
• Strong work ethic and safety-focused.
• Effective communication and ability to follow directions.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Valid PA driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• US work authorization or visa status.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work in accordance with plan specifications.

Job Title: Paving Laborer

Job Description

Laborer will work with our paving division, to assist in the installation of asphalt & concrete surfaces. Our projects vary from single driveway replacements, repairs & sealcoating to new development construction; roadways and parking lots.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work in accordance with plan specifications.
• Loading and unloading of equipment and tools; prepping equipment.
• Prepare subbase surfaces for hot asphalt material.
• Distribute and rake asphalt material.
• Finish surfaces by smoothing and tamping asphalt material to specified grade and thickness; while removing any surface imperfections.
• Perform other duties as assigned by site foreman; to assure job site expectations & daily schedules are met.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment; skid-steer, backhoe, roller & paving machine is a plus.
  

Skills

• One year experience preferred; but not required.
• Strong work ethic; pride in your work, passion for getting the job done right and safely.
• ability to communicate effectively; and to understand and follow direction a must.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Attentive – quick to acknowledge when help is needed and quick to assume the next task.
• Valid PA driver’s license with reliable transportation is a must.
• Authorization to work in US; valid work Visa or Permanent Residency Card.
  

Physical Requirements

• Fast paced; physically demanding.
• Ability to lift & carry up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  

Job Types Available

• Full-time; 40 hours weekly; additional seasonal hours available to assist with other company services (winter services).
• Hours – 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM; dependent on job schedule; willingness to work long hours.
  

Salary

• Pay Will Be Based Upon Experience – normal range is $17 to $19 per hour.
