Job summary

Ross Landscape & Paving Services, Inc. is seeking an Asphalt Laborer in West Chester, PA to support our paving division with asphalt and concrete surfaces. The role involves helping install surfaces on driveways, roads, and parking areas, with hours 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM and potential long days.

Responsibilities include preparing bases, distributing asphalt, and finishing surfaces. Valid PA driver’s license and physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• One year experience preferred; but not required.

• Ability to communicate effectively; and to understand and follow direction a must.
• Good time management and organizational skills.

• Prepare subbase surfaces for hot asphalt material.
• Distribute and rake asphalt material.
• Finish surfaces by smoothing and tamping asphalt material to specified grade and thickness; while removing any surface imperfections.
• Perform other duties as assigned by site foreman; to assure job site expectations & daily schedules are met.

Paving & Asphalt Laborer in West Chester, PA | Ross Landscape & Paving Services

Core Responsibilities & Daily Duties

Laborer will work with our paving division, to assist in the installation of asphalt & concrete surfaces. Our projects vary from single driveway replacements, repairs & sealcoating to new development construction; roadways and parking lots.

Hours – 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM; dependent on job schedule; willingness to work long hours.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all work in accordance with plan specifications.
• Loading and unloading of equipment and tools; prepping equipment.
• Prepare subbase surfaces for hot asphalt material.
• Distribute and rake asphalt material.
• Finish surfaces by smoothing and tamping asphalt material to specified grade and thickness; while removing any surface imperfections.
• Perform other duties as assigned by site foreman; to assure job site expectations & daily schedules are met.

Ability to operate heavy equipment; skid-steer, backhoe, roller & paving machine is a plus.
