Job summary

QP Group is seeking a General Superintendent / Paving Operations Manager to lead concrete paving across the DFW market. The role supervisors the concrete batch plant and multiple paving crews, ensuring production, safety, quality and timely project delivery.

Successful candidates will have extensive concrete paving experience, hands-on field leadership, and the ability to coordinate foremen and field personnel across diverse projects in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

Job description

QP Group is working exclusively with an established, family-oriented concrete construction contractor in the DFW market that is looking to appoint a General Superintendent / Paving Operations Manager.

This is a key hire for the business, overseeing the company's concrete paving operations across multiple DFW projects. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the paving operation, including the concrete batch plant and multiple paving crews.

The Role

• Oversee day-to-day concrete paving operations across the DFW area
• Manage and coordinate paving crews, including Foremen and field personnel
• Oversee concrete production and operations at the batch plant
• Ensure crews, equipment, materials and production are properly coordinated
• Provide hands-on leadership and support to field teams
• Monitor production, quality, safety and overall project performance
• Work closely with project management and company leadership to keep operations running efficiently
• Help plan upcoming work, crew requirements and resource allocation
• Troubleshoot field and operational issues as they arise
• Maintain strong relationships with Foremen, field personnel and project teams

You will have:

• Significant experience in concrete paving
• Previous experience as a General Superintendent, Paving Superintendent, Paving Operations Manager, Director of Paving or similar
• Experience overseeing multiple paving crews and Foremen
• Experience with concrete batch plant operations
• Strong understanding of concrete paving production, scheduling and field operations
• A hands-on management style and the ability to work closely with crews in the field
• Experience working for a mid-sized or similarly structured contractor
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• The ability to travel across the DFW area as required
