Wiregrass Construction Company, Inc. in Mobile, AL is seeking an experienced Paving Equipment Operator to join our paving crew.

The ideal candidate will operate a variety of asphalt paving equipment and help deliver high-quality, safe, and efficient paving work on diverse projects. Responsibilities include performing pre-trip inspections, maintaining grade and mat quality, coordinating with foremen and drivers, and supporting setup and cleanup.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience operating asphalt paving equipment.
• Experience with pavers, screeds, rollers, brooms, and milling machines.
• Ability to read grade stakes and project specs.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt paving equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain paving grade, slope, and mat quality per project specs.
• Coordinate with foremen, truck drivers, and other crew members for efficient paving operations.
• Assist with equipment setup, breakdown, and site preparation.
• Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Follow all safety policies and OSHA regulations.
