Job summary

Dickerson & Bowen in Mississippi is seeking a Construction Laborer to support asphalt paving and related field work across project sites. The role involves site prep, grading, paving support, and assisting with installation or repair of various structures, while maintaining safe, clean work areas.

You will work closely with equipment operators and crew to ensure quality outcomes, perform traffic control/flagging as required, and handle digging, shoveling, and material handling in all weather

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a crew.
• Physical stamina for demanding field tasks in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Digs, spreads, and levels dirt and gravel with hand tools.
• Lifts, carries, and handles materials, tools, and supplies.
• Cleans tools, equipment, materials, and work areas.
• Mixes, pours, and spreads concrete, asphalt, gravel and other materials.
• Joins, wraps, and seals sections of pipe and installs or aligns components.
