Job summary

Dickerson & Bowen is seeking a Construction Laborer to support asphalt paving and related field tasks across project sites in central and southern Mississippi. You will understand site prep, grading, and material handling, and assist with paving, joint sealing, and setting up stringlines under supervision.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds, valid driver’s license, and on‑the‑job training. CDL preferred; equal opportunity employer; drug‑free workplace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• On‑the‑job training provided.
• Valid Driver’s License required; CDL Class B with Tanker preferred.

Responsibilities

• Digs, spreads, and levels dirt and gravel using hand tools.
• Mixes, pours, and spreads concrete, asphalt, gravel, and other materials.
• Lifts, carries, and holds materials, tools, and supplies.
• Traffic control/flagging and site housekeeping.
