Job summary

Ingevity seeks a dynamic Pavement Technologies Market Development Manager to lead strategic efforts in implementing Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA) across the Great Lakes region. This remote role requires 40-50% travel to customer sites, industry events, and biannual trips to HQ in SC.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 5+ years in asphalt pavement technology, sustainability, or transportation infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of chemical warm mix additives.
• Experience developing strategies and implementing industry specifications.
• Experience with writing technical specifications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate with technical teams, associations, and government agencies.
• Strong project management skills; capable of organizing events and demonstrations.
• Familiarity with regulatory agency processes and requirements.

• Technical knowledge of asphalt and recycling technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategy to advance Ingevity Pavement Technologies to road owners and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Evotherm Technical Marketing Managers on strategy deployment.
• Educate and develop specifications with DOTs and local governments.
• Coordinate with Government Relations on initiatives.
• Engage industry associations and customers to facilitate discussions.
• Promote Pavement Technologies through marketing, training, and conferences.
• Organize seminars/webinars to increase awareness of WMA.
• Lead and oversee R&D projects supporting technology adoption.
• Assist technical team with deployment of WMA innovations.
• Develop marketing materials and presentations to drive adoption.
• Plan and execute WMA field demonstrations with sales.
• Generate sales leads for the technical sales team.

Pavement Technologies Market Development Manager (Remote, Great Lakes)

We currently have one remote opening for a regional role responsible for managing market development activities across the Great Lakes region (MN, WI, IL, IN, MI, OH). The role requires 40-50%+ travel which will include customer site visits, industry events/tradeshows, and trips to company headquarters in North Charleston, SC (2-3x/year). Initial training period will be onsite in North Charleston, SC. Ideal candidate locations would include residency near a major airport in the Great Lakes region.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pavement Technologies Market Development Manager to lead strategic efforts in the implementation and adoption of Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA) through collaboration, education, and strategic planning. This role will report to the Director of Strategic Marketing and Business Development.

How you will impact Ingevity:

Market Development and Technology Implementation

• Develop and execute a strategy to advance Ingevity Pavement Technologies to road owners and stakeholders.
• Collaborate and align on strategy execution/deployment with Evotherm Technical Marketing Managers
• Collaborate with State Departments of Transportation (DOTs) and local government agencies to educate, train and develop specifications.
• Collaborate with Ingevity Government Relations team on initiatives.
• Partner with industry associations and key customers to facilitate specification discussions.
• Promote the advancement of Ingevity Pavement Technologies through marketing, training, and education initiatives at conferences, tradeshows, and industry meetings.
• Organize and lead educational seminars/webinars to increase awareness and understanding of WMA technology.
• Collaborate with the technical team to initiate and oversee research projects that support technology adoption.
• Assist technical team with deployment of technical innovations related to WMA
• Develop impactful marketing materials and presentations to encourage widespread WMA adoption.
• Work with the sales team to plan and execute WMA field demonstrations.
• Generate sales leads for technical sales team.

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Environmental Science, or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of experience in asphalt pavement technology, sustainability initiatives, or transportation infrastructure is required.
• Strong knowledge of chemical warm mix additives.
• Demonstrated experience in developing strategies and implementing industry specifications.
• Experience with writing technical specifications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to educate and influence diverse stakeholders.
