Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in asphalt pavement technology or transportation infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of warm mix additives.
• Experience writing technical specifications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate with technical teams, industry associations and government agencies.
• Strong project management and event organization experience.
• Familiarity with regulatory processes.
• Experience in construction or materials marketing or business development.
• Technical knowledge of asphalt and recycling technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategy to advance Ingevity Pavement Technologies to road owners and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Evotherm Technical Marketing Managers to align strategy.
• Engage state DOTs and local governments to educate, develop specifications.
• Collaborate with Government Relations on initiatives.
• Partner with industry associations and customers to facilitate specifications discussions.
• Promote WMA technology through marketing, training, and events at conferences, tradeshows, and industry meetings.
• Organize seminars/webinars to increase awareness of WMA technology.
• Collaborate with the technical team on research projects supporting adoption.
• Assist with deployment of technical innovations related to WMA.
• Develop marketing materials and presentations to encourage adoption.
• Work with sales to plan field demonstrations and generate leads.

Pavement Technologies Market Development Manager (Remote, Great Lakes)

We currently have one remote opening for a regional role responsible for managing market development activities across the Great Lakes region (MN, WI, IL, IN, MI, OH). The role requires 40-50%+ travel which will include customer site visits, industry events/tradeshows, and trips to company headquarters in North Charleston, SC (2-3x/year). Initial training period will be onsite in North Charleston, SC. Ideal candidate locations would include residency near a major airport in the Great Lakes region.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pavement Technologies Market Development Manager to lead strategic efforts in the implementation and adoption of Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA) through collaboration, education, and strategic planning. This role will report to the Director of Strategic Marketing and Business Development.

How you will impact Ingevity

Market Development and Technology Implementation

• Develop and execute a strategy to advance Ingevity Pavement Technologies to road owners and stakeholders.
• Collaborate and align on strategy execution/deployment with Evotherm Technical Marketing Managers
• Collaborate with State Departments of Transportation (DOTs) and local government agencies to educate, train and develop specifications.
• Collaborate with Ingevity Government Relations team on initiatives.
• Partner with industry associations and key customers to facilitate specification discussions.
• Promote the advancement of Ingevity Pavement Technologies through marketing, training, and education initiatives at conferences, tradeshows, and industry meetings.
• Organize and lead educational seminars/webinars to increase awareness and understanding of WMA technology.
• Collaborate with the technical team to initiate and oversee research projects that support technology adoption.
• Assist technical team with deployment of technical innovations related to WMA
• Develop impactful marketing materials and presentations to encourage widespread WMA adoption.
• Work with the sales team to plan and execute WMA field demonstrations.
• Generate sales leads for technical sales team.

What you need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Environmental Science, or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of experience in asphalt pavement technology, sustainability initiatives, or transportation infrastructure is required.
• Strong knowledge of chemical warm mix additives.
• Demonstrated experience in developing strategies and implementing industry specifications.
• Experience with writing technical specifications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to educate and influence diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to collaborate with technical teams, industry associations, and government agencies.
• Strong project management skills, with experience in organizing events and field demonstrations.
• Familiarity with regulatory agency processes and requirements.
• Experience in marketing or business development within the construction or materials industry.
• Technical knowledge of asphalt and recycling technologies.
