Job summary

Russell Standard is seeking a General Laborer to support the Pavement Preservation Team. This outdoor role involves assisting with traffic control, operating construction equipment, loading materials, and keeping worksites safe and productive.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and DOT credentials or the ability to obtain them before start. The position requires overtime, travel to job sites, and the ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• DOT Med Card (Or ability to get one prior to start date).
• DOT Flagger Training Certificate (Or ability to get one prior to start date).
• Aptitude for learning new tasks and skills.

Responsibilities

• Controls flow of traffic by flagging.
• Operates construction and/or power equipment for use in asphalt paving.
• Loads, hauls and unloads various equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Performs routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to the supervisor.
• Cleans equipment.
• Follows all safety policies and practices.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Drives company vehicle to and from job site, including interstate driving.
