Job summary

PLP Co., a Frontline Road Safety Group company, is a premier pavement marking contractor based in Bethel Park, PA. We install and remove pavement markings on roadways, parking lots, and airports using waterborne paint, epoxy, polyurea, thermoplastic, preformed plastic, and 3M tape.

Shifts include long days, many nights, and occasional travel. We offer union benefits and company-paid CDL training, a $5.00/hr night-shift differential, referral bonuses, and annual incentives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; pavement marking or related field experience a plus.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; CDL preferred.
• Must join Laborers Local Union #1058 and comply with DOT Drug Control Program.
• Must obtain Flagging Certification or Traffic Control Technician Certification.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs; work outdoors in variable weather.

Responsibilities

• Layout and install pavement markings on roadways, parking lots, and airports using waterborne paint, epoxy, polyurea, thermoplastic, and related materials.
• Operate and maintain pavement marking equipment (paint trucks, plural component trucks, thermoplastic units, grooving and water-blasting removal trucks); perform daily inspections and maintenance.
• Calculate field measurements from engineered plans and/or aerial imagery; track quantities installed.
• Perform traffic control (flagging, lane closures) per DOT and safety guidelines.
• Load, unload, and drive company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
