This operator will oversee all aspects of pavement marking traffic control device maintenance and repair, provide technical expertise to department personnel, and manage projects with a high degree of autonomy. Ensure adherence to safety regulations.Description**Duties and Responsibilities:*** Supervises and trains Pavement Marking Operators I and II* Oversees complex traffic related projects* Leads the installation, maintenance and repair of all pavement marking traffic control devices* Performs inspections and prepares reports on the condition of all pavement marking traffic control systems* Coordinate with engineers and other departments on traffic control projects* Ensures compliance with all safety regulations and procedures* Prepares technical reports and maintains detailed documentation* May operate department vehicles for transporting materials and equipment* Operate thermoplastic equipment* Performs other duties as assigned**Minimum Qualifications:*** High school diploma or GED certificate* Five (5) years of experience in traffic control device maintenance or a related field, with a minimum of three years in a supervisory role* In-depth knowledge of the TXMUTCD guidelines* Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills* Extensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems related to traffic control devices* Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead teams effectively* Valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record* Must pass a background check and drug screening* Must have a Class A CDL License or must obtain within 12 months of hire date
