Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc. seeks a Foreperson in Hazleton, PA to direct pavement marking operations and coordinate daily activities across construction projects. You will supervise staff, manage cycle counts, and ensure trucks and equipment meet safety and efficiency standards.

The role requires at least 3 years in pavement marking, a valid CDL, and strong organization. Forklift certification is preferred. Expect a dynamic environment with safety emphasis and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 3 years of Pavement Marking experience.
• Ability to follow directions precisely.
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Basic carpentry skills with tools usage.
• CDL Class A or B license; forklift cert preferred.
• Clean driving record; pass background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise pavement marking staff and daily operations.
• Manage inventory and perform cycle counts.
• Ensure trucks have required hardware, tools and equipment per checklists.
• Load/unload trucks manually and with forklift.
• Suggest cost-improvement ideas and monitor expenses.
• Inspect trucks/equipment and report needed repairs.
• Maintain inventory levels and assist Operations Manager.
• Identify unsafe practices and take corrective action (Stop Work Authority).
• Provide monthly updates on unusable equipment or materials.
• Keep work areas clean and organized; assist in the sign shop as needed.
