The Opportunity

As a Pavement Engineer, you will work with our Pavement Services group on projects and play a key role in assisting our clients to successfully execute their projects.

Responsibilities

1. Assist the SME Project Manager in project meetings, design work for site civil projects, interface with clients, and oversee construction phases.
2. Conduct field reviews, assist with data collection, perform site layout and grading using AutoCAD Civil 3D, and develop plans and specifications.
3. Prepare permit applications, perform quantity take-offs, develop cost estimates, and coordinate with project teams.
4. Visit project sites as needed.
5. Communicate test results and issues effectively to contractors, clients, and team members.
6. Use problem-solving skills to resolve construction challenges.

Requirements

1. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
2. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
3. Organizational skills and ability to manage workloads and maintain records.
4. Interpersonal skills to build rapport and provide excellent client service.
5. Adaptability to change and handling interruptions.
6. Basic construction knowledge, including understanding of survey and mapping data.
7. Technical problem-solving ability in the field.

9. Physical ability to perform field activities, including lifting and working in various weather conditions.
