Job summary

The Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Surgical Care team in the PAVE clinic. You will provide comprehensive nursing care under supervision, support wound care, med administration, and documentation for veterans.

As a PAVE-certified LPN, you will independently manage your own clinic in line with VA standards, assisting the podiatrist and coordinating patient care within a dedicated care team.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active LPN license.
• PAVE certification and podiatry nursing experience.
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD coding and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the PAVE clinic and podiatry setting.
• Assist podiatrist with minor procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort and privacy.
• Prepare and administer medications per policy; monitor for adverse reactions and document care.
• Maintain clinic operations and patient records; coordinate scheduling and throughput.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and universal precautions; participate in quality improvement.
