Job summary

NPACE seeks a Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive podiatry care within the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The role operates under the Section Chief of Podiatry in an interdisciplinary team with podiatrists, physicians, techs, and admin staff.

The incumbent provides clinical services, adheres to credentialing and privileges, and participates in quality and safety initiatives. Duties include histories, exams, wound care, diabetic foot evaluation, postoperative follow-up, and patient

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical services within approved podiatry scope and privileges.
• Perform histories and physical examinations focused on foot/ankle conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies (labs, imaging) as appropriate.
• Manage diabetic foot evaluation, wound care, casts/splints as needed.
• Coordinate postoperative care with podiatry team and surgeons.
• Educate Veterans and caregivers on diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up.
