Job summary

The Veterans Affairs Podiatry Service seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive podiatric care within approved privileges. The role works with podiatrists, physicians, and allied staff to deliver safe, evidence-based care for Veterans in outpatient and, when applicable, inpatient settings.

Duties include evaluating foot/ankle conditions, performing histories and exams, ordering tests, coordinating postoperative care, and educating Veterans and caregivers on diagnoses,

Qualifications

• Provide evidence-based podiatric care within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in outpatient and/or inpatient settings.
• Maintain timely documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate foot and ankle conditions and conduct comprehensive histories and exams.
• Order and interpret relevant diagnostic studies and coordinate care with surgical team.
• Educate patients and caregivers about diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up.
