Job summary

Point Blank Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a skilled sewing machine operator to join our production team in Kentucky. You will read work orders, set up machines, thread needles, and maintain equipment to ensure quality stitching.

Qualifications

Job description

  • Follow all sewing instructions, production procedures, and quality standards.
  • Operate industrial sewing machines and related equipment, including pattern plates, needles, presser feet, cutting tools, and blades.
  • Read and interpret work orders, specifications, measurements, and sewing instructions to determine material requirements, machine settings, and assembly methods.
  • Thread sewing machines, replace needles, adjust machine settings, and perform routine machine cleaning and maintenance.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Repair or rework defective products as needed to meet quality requirements.
  • Align and position materials and components accurately to ensure proper assembly and stitching.
  • Monitor machine performance and identify issues such as skipped stitches, thread breakage, material defects, or equipment malfunctions.
  • Promptly report machine malfunctions, maintenance needs, or quality concerns to the supervisor.
  • Maintain production efficiency while meeting established quality and productivity standards.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
  • Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures at all times.
  • Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices.
  • Assist with other production-related duties as assigned by management.
