Are you a reliable employee looking for an exciting career in a growing organization? The CA Lawton Company in De Pere is looking for a Pattern Maker or entry level Pattern Maker Tech, we can train you if you’d like to learn a trade! With new starting pay and a 4 day work week!

What is the job?

As a Pattern Maker, you will learn from others in the shop while working on individual and team projects. You will operate various pieces of equipment and hand tools in order to design, build and maintain tooling for foundry castings, working with Styrofoam, Wood and Plastics. You will be expected to learn many operational processes and implement continuous improvement ideas in your area and in the foundry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate various pieces of machinery and equipment and hand tools
  • Design, build and maintain tooling
  • Read blueprints to produce precision tooling
  • Work with foam, wood and/or urethane to create prototypes or single use castings
  • Provide support to the foundry through understanding of the foundry process
  • Follow processes and standard work
  • Other duties as assigned

What are the hours and pay?

  • 1st shift 4:00 AM – 2:00 PM 4 day work week. Either Monday thru Thursday or Tuesday thru Friday dependent on our needs. Optional OT as needed on off day/Saturday based on skill set and shop needs.
  • Pay: $21.00 to $32.00/ hr. based on experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 18 years old or older to apply
  • Strong work record in safety, quality, & dependability
  • Good team player. Able to work well and communicate with teammates and functional departments within the company
  • Strong mechanical comprehension and knowledge of hand tools
  • Very well organized and able to work well under pressure
  • Follow instructions with strong attention to detail
  • Able to read basic blueprints, technical diagrams and possess basic computer skills. Will train.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: High School or equivalent strongly preferred
  • Experience in Wood Working, Prototype Design, Machining, 3D Modeling, Programming or Pattern Making is preferred. We will train you if you have the desire to learn.
