Job summary

Somerset County Library System of New Jersey seeks a part-time Library Technician in Circulation at the Manville branch. You will perform direct patron service at the Circulation Desk, execute off-desk duties, assist with maintaining collections, and shelve materials, reporting to the Circulation Department Supervisor.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related customer service or library experience; bilingual English/Spanish is strongly desired.

• High school diploma or equivalent and one year of related customer service or library experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct patron service at the Circulation Desk.
• Off-desk responsibilities as assigned.
• Assist with maintaining and promoting library collections.
• Shelving library materials.
• Perform other library-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or branch manager.
