Qualifications

• High School Diploma and at least 60 hours of college.
• Current BLEOST police certification.
• At least three years of law enforcement experience.
• Ability to work with officers and deal objectively with supervisors and subordinates.
• No serious disciplinary actions on file.
• In lieu of supervisory experience, a college degree from an accredited college or university is accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for subordinate personnel on the shift.
• Ensure policy and procedure compliance; direct and evaluate performance; maintain personnel appraisals; review incident reports; protect life and property; manage equipment.
• Assign ditties as directed by Lieutenant, Captain and above.
• Oversee the shift in the absence of the Lieutenant.
• May work outside regular shift; perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
• Other duties assigned.
