Job summary

GardaWorld Security Services in Glen Allen, Virginia, is hiring a Patrol Security Guard to provide friendly, professional security support across office towers, hotels, and shopping centers.

You will work a set schedule 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a competitive hourly wage of $19.50 plus a comprehensive benefits package and uniform at no cost.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months of prior security experience, preferably with access credentialing.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
• Proficiency with Google Suite Applications.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment or independently.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day badging and credentialing operations to ensure proper processing of badges.
• Prepare, issue and/or ship picture badges for employees and contractors.
• Support the background process by assisting in fingerprint collection.
• Modify badging records for terminations or access changes.
• Answer inquiries regarding badge office policies and procedures.
• Interact with clients and assist in resolving issues or concerns.
• Maintain logs for badge issuance, return, and tracking of actions.

As a Patrol Security Guard, there is a high focus on customer service since you will be working with people on all shifts, in environments such as office towers, hotels, shopping centers, etc.

Responsibilities Of a Patrol Security Guard

• This position is responsible for day-to-day badging and credentialing operations to ensure employees, contractors, third parties, and other personnel authorized to hold an identification badge have been processed in accordance with established client security policies
• Prepare, issue and/or ship picture badges for employees, contractors, and other authorized persons for the client sites
• Support the background process by assisting in collection of fingerprints
• Modify existing badging records for terminations, access changes, etc
• Answer telephone inquiries, questions regarding badge office policies and procedures
• Interact with internal and external clients and assisting in finding resolutions of issues or concerns
• Maintain appropriate logs regarding the issuance, return and track all associated actions
• Monitor and regulate the daily activities to ensure compliance with site policies and procedures
• Retain and maintain all access control documents, as well as conduct audits on access control records
• Record and report any incidents to the Site Supervisor, Operations Manager, or Site Security Manager
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
• Work closely and maintain relationships with other client badge offices and support teams.
• Conduct monthly custodian functions, including all on site supplies are in stock and ready for deployment.

Your Background

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of six (6) months of prior security professional experience, preferably with a focus on access credentialing
• Minimum of one (1) year of customer service
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Google Suite Applications
• Strong keyboarding skills
• Able to assess and evaluate situations effectively
• Identify critical issues quickly and accurately
• Research, investigate, compile information
• Write informatively, clearly, and accurately
• Ability to work in a team environment or independently as required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
